You can't go wrong with the Gyro and deep fried mushrooms.. I mean everything is awesome, I've definitely tried it all .. and I mean all. Iv been going there for 37 years. The flavors have never changed. Pure deliciousness. Uncle Nicks Stands out above the rest. The atmosphere is great, and friendly. Everything is priced right. What a great experience For grabbing go in Rockford. The next time your on state street in Rockford or happen to be in town, stop at Uncle next on state street you will love it. PS don't forget to their Greek .dessert

Uncle Nick's has always been a carry out service. Due to the virus only one person at a time is allowed in the store and you must be wearing a mask. This is good news for those of us who are chemo patients. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Great gyro flavors at all times. Baklava is sweet, gooey and everything is priced right.

My Italian beef was completely dry & nasty, it didn’t even look like an Italian beef nothing but meat on the sandwich & 4 real big peppers 🙄 worst food I ever tasted....

Iconic Rockford fare! I'm at a loss of words to explain my love of their gyros and pizza puff. Whenever I'm in town Uncle Nick's is a MUST!!!

Hadn't been here in over 20 years and it was just as good as I remembered it. My brother said I broke a cardinal rule by going before midnight but I'm over 40 and it's after 10:00 pm so it's kind of the same thing. I had a gyro of course and my mouth now tastes like an onion but it was good going down and my belly is full and I'd do it 1,000 times over.

Well I just went to Uncle Nick's for my first time and you know what I was sadly disappointed Euros have tomatoes very little sauce at all you asked for extra meat that's charging three extra dollars which I wouldn't mind if they would actually put double the meat on there but they don't the guy that serve me very unfriendly acted like he was doing me a favor or something it's this is the best in town Rockford needs a new gyro joint sorry I just don't think I'll be back o did I mention a gyro also has onions I counted five little slivers of onions on my gyro not impressed at all guys the fries were cold I know it's late at night what 9 a.m. but it's like there was no effort at all taken to make the sandwich so Rockford I don't know why you're getting all these high reviews but you got to be paying somebody

Ion know what's going on with the gyro meat, but lately I've been having to request mines to be well done or else it taste funny and makes my stomach hurt.

I really like Uncle Nick's. They're making sure that everybody's social distancing and are bringing food to the cars. I especially appreciate the tall drink carriers. The food is good. They're just as quick as any other fast food restaurant. Just be careful when going there because their parking lot resembles Rockford roads.

They don't take phone orders because they'd rather have their customers wait forever in a terrible part of town and get robbed. Restaurant dirty, terrible customer service, this place will not survive much longer unless they get new management.You're better off going up the street to mister js.

Uncle Nicks is the late night king here in Rockford. I’ve been going here for a long time, and let me tell you, the later you’re here, the better it gets. Very reasonably priced for a gyro. Their fried mushrooms are excellent, and they even have shrimp dinners and pizza puffs, all of which are great. They have a small lobby and a long line on weekend nights, so plan accordingly. My only complaint is that sometimes they don’t put enough meat on the gyros. Otherwise, great place, food always comes out piping hot. It’s a go to for anyone visiting Rockford looking for a late night bite to eat.

AWESOME gyros - THE BEST, EVER! Service is great! They do their very best to quickly take your order when you walk in, and they do their very best to quickly get your food to you, so you can walk out. All of my orders have been accurate, and I greatly appreciate that! I also, very much, appreciate their hours of operation. It’s wonderful to have a place to go for GREAT food late night/early am. I used to eat at this place over 30 years ago. Imagine my surprise when I went back to Rockford and it was still there! Plus I see they've added a second location further out East State. I was going to get a Giordano's pizza before getting back on the road to Nashville. I got the Gyro, no pita, just meat, sauce and onions. Plus saganaki and baklava. Huge portions and the prices were fantastic. The saganaki was OMG good!

Went to CALL in my order since i live on other side of TOWN and they WOULD not take my order over the PHONE extremley dissatisfied WILL no loger be goin HERE

Ahh, Uncle Nicks. A landmark and a good place to eat. My wife loves the burgers. I would not know due to the fact I always get a gyro. They recently added cheese curds and chicken nuggets to the menu, both are good. Not the most attractive place but do not let locale deter you from stopping in and getting some food.

Gyro has been better. The fries blow..to thin n pieces.

When pulling up to this place I was having second thoughts on my girlfriend and I getting food here, but we went in anyway. The man behind the counter was very nice and respectful, we ordered two Gyros...and...they...were...AMAZING! Only time I have been to this place and it was a definite positive experience and would not hesitate to get food here again. Uncle Nick's...you know how to make a damn good Gyro!
